This site will be used to collect Prepstein family memorabilia.
My mother Judith, was the fifth born of six children, 5 girls and 1 boy to Sarah and Morris Prepstein. The family originated in Michalova Poland, and ended up in Philadephia PA. Feivel the boy was killed in Palestine while in the British Brigade. All the girls survived nicely and made families of their own. The sisters were devoted to one another and all husbands were absorbed into the clan. They saw each other often though two older sisters lived in New York. They all got together in Philadelphia on Passover for the family seder at one of the Philadelphia houses.
Starting here with a group of group of cards: two from a seder in the late forties or early fifties and 6 from an earlier one

When one reaches my age in life
He desires peace – to give up the strife,
He dreams of sun and golf and fish
And then an idea – Florida, that’s my dish!
I’ll move there and practice, simple, natch,
But hold on brother, there’s still a catch,
To do that I have to take the Board,
And to study anatomy, pathology, oh Lord:
On second thot, maybe I should
Relax and settle for my tan at the Broadwood.

‘Tho I haven’t appeared in Calvert ad
As a gentleman of distinction.
This summer I’m in retirement
Due to my wife’s affliction.
So Camp Galil must struggle without
Their director of years gone by,
I’ll just relax and knock about
This August and July
